Osaka Steak & Sushi in Dawsonville

This is my most favorite restaurant in Tulsa!!! I dream about their fried rice and hibachi shrimp. They always have the best food and service every single time I go, which is pretty frequently. I suggest to eat here on almost any occasion. BEST HIBACHI RESTAURANT!!!

Osaka, for the price, is pretty wonderful. The hosts are always rude but as soon as you get past them it's a great experience. The entertainment is awesome, the food is delicious and compared to all the other "fancy" places in BA, it's prices are great. Totally recommend Osaka.

The food is SO good and really well priced for how much you get. It's a fun, change of pase for a date night, or evening out with friends. Again, so much food for such a little price! Definitely recommend trying.

This place is FANCY! I'm definitely glad I checked this place off my bucket list because the food was excellent and the service was phenomenal. But, the bill almost made me fall out of my seat. Other than the price, Osaka is a must-see place for Japanese food. So be sure to check it off your bucket list and post some IG stories so you can brag to all your friends how fancy you are.

Family friendly. Great food at an affordable price. Great atmosphere, kids will love it also. I ordered the "House Osaka" (Beef, chicken,shrimp.) With every meal comes soup, salad,White or fried rice, fried vegetables and a variety of ice cream. Them my personal favorite is the fried calamari and a Mount fugi to swallow it all down..

I went with a large group of coworkers. It was a great experience and good food. However when serving my kid her food to her plate, the chef accidentally touched her fingers with his spatula which burned and bubbled her fingers up. It was an accident and he did stop in the middle to go get her some ice. I still would definitely recommend this place just make sure your hands are clear of your plate.

Reasonably priced hibachi grill. They also have sushi which we didn't get but looked good. Our cook was funny and did a great job cooking and making it entertaining. Expect to pay in the $20 range per person more or less but you are getting steak or seafood.

Best place to eat. Will be going back again and again

We came here to celebrate my sons 13th bday. The sushi was good. I also got shrimp and rice. Rice was good. The shrimp was terrible!!! It had such a freezer burn/ chemical flavor. Disgusting!! It turned my whole stomach 🤢We'll try a different place for my other son's bday coming up

THIS PLACE IS SO SLOW AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. We come here all the time. We love the food. And the hibachi chefs are wonderful. But, we've decided to give up on this place. The past several times we've dined here, we've watched as they seat others before us. We've watched as other tables are served immediately while we've waited for up to 20 minutes with no drinks. Tonight in particular, 3 tables who were seated after us had drinks and food while we hadn't even been greeted. We told management, we asked another server. Nothing helped. This happens every time.and several other tables experience the same thing. Please learn how to seat and take care of people.

Osaka’s never disappoints! This has to be the best Japanese steak house I’ve ever been in to. I usually order the Chicken and Shrimp and it is always cooked wonderfully! Osaka’s also has a great selection of sushi! The Kamikaze roll is SO GOOD! Trust me, this restaurant will not disappoint!

This place is absolutely amazing! Great food and entertainment. You get so much food for such a good price! I always share the chicken and shrimp with my sister and I am never disappointed! They also have pretty good sushi.

Simply delicious. I could eat about 3 of those tuna salads, and the lava roll was great. It was not really spicy, even though the menu had it listed with one pepper. Speedy, friendly service even though it was prom night.

Do they ever answer the phone? Very poorly ran business. Have tried to call multiple times and no answer, even left a message and no call back. Used to be my favorite place to eat! Place has gone down hill. Not to mention the last time we ate here for my birthday they forgot my moms chicken... how do you forget someone’s chicken when they’re cooking right in front of you? They gave everyone at the table chicken but her. The chef said he could get her some made in the back. No. If I’m coming to a hibachi restaurant where they cook in front of you, I expect the meal I ordered. Management didn’t do a thing for the issue.

We got there about 8pm and it was full. We decided to wait at the bar til our name was called and the rest of our party showed. And have a few drinks. We were a bit hungry so we wanted an appetizer. Well, they don't allow food at the bar... OkWe get seated and our cook seemed in a hurry. As the grill was super hot the food was cooked too fast and had the charred look. And as soon as we got the rice, it had that awful burnt taste. Overall the food was bland and the service was mediocre. Not really worth the time and money.

First time in. Pretty awesome place decently priced. A little slow on keeping up with the drink refills. Definitely date night or family fun night fun.

One of my favorite places to eat! We go every year for my birthday. They have two sides to the restaurant, the hibachi grill side and the sushi side. We've done both. If you're coming for the sushi, you don't need reservations. If you come for the show and Hibachi Grill side, you'll need reservations for evening meals.

The atmosphere here is great for a special dinner out, birthday party or something different than your normal routine. The hibachi grill is a fun experience and the food is always good.

I should have taken pictures but it was so amazing and flavor excellent we weren't thinking of pictures. Grill. Was entertaining. Salad. Basic. Broth. Fried rice then veggies and steak, chicken and shrimp..EVERYONE gets shrimp. Followed by ice cream. ♡A wonderful evening meal

Food was good. They weren't accepting reservations which makes it a little tougher to get into the restaurant with a small kiddo. We went early and only had about a 25 minute wait.

I have ate at Osaka's several times but this time there was an hour wait after we was seated, I got chicken and lobster ... The rest of my family got steak and shrimp... The lobster and shrimp was real "fishy" the lobster tasted awful!! The waiter accidentally spilled pop in my boyfriends entire plate of food and no other food was cooked for him to replace it... Wasn't a good experience 😔

Been here before and its usually really good. Today however the shrimp tasted like over done fried egg flavor. The steak had no flavor although its steak and all u need is salt and pepper. The veggies were plain in flavor too. The fried rice was good.

Good friendly service (short wait time of 10 minutes as we were told, and that's once our group was all present) and our food ninja added a few comedic lines I hadn't heard before from these types of establishments where usually you can predict everything they will say and do. We've been here several times and we'll keep coming back.

They have a great lunch option in addition to dinner. Both serve you a hot towel with your meal, though lunch does not include ice cream (heads up for the kids)Their lunch comes with salad and rice, but be prepared that fried rice does cost extra in addition to the lunch meat charge.Good performances by the chefs and good service.

Great hibachi-style food and warm atmosphere. Chefs are skilled and courteous. They don't do reservations though.

Food was good but not the service. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I mentioned this to three different employees. They never sang to her or brought her the dessert. A table across from us did though. Then I left a tip only to find out today that I was charged an additional $15 on my credit card for gratuities. I went by and they refunded me cash. We come a few times a year, but something was definitely different this time around.

This was an awesome experience. It is pricey but you get so much food. My husband and I easily share a chicken and steak meal.

Always have a good meal here. My little one loves the "show" that goes with the meal. The place is usually busy so be prepared for a short wait during dinner hours. I feel like most of the cooks no longer find joy in their jobs, unfortunately.

I’ve been going here since I was little, love this place definitely recommend it!

This is my #1 favorite Japanese restraunt. The dining experience is very unique. When you come with a small number of people, it gives you the oppertunity to interact and get to know others you have never known before that you are sitting at the same table with. The chefs wear red and the one I had was very funny and he would yell things like "fly chicken". He would give me a small green pea and joke, "Here is your appetizer." The chef was talented and did flip tricks with a spatula and a bowl of rice 🍚. He would light fire on the onions and yell "volcano" as the fire and smoke went up in the air. He even offered and gave me some fried rice after I ordered boiled rice.

The chef show was fabulous, however Icould not get it to load on the site. You will just have to see it for yourself. Shrimp, Steak, and Chicken cooked to perfection. We will be returning.

Service was amazing! I don't think I've ever felt so taking care of I didn't even have to ask for refills they were always there. The food was good , could have stood some more flavor. But that's my personal opinion.

Place is over priced! On top of that the food is so so and they are terrible at answering the phone for to go service. We used to give this place a ton of business, over the years they have just got worse. Today was the last attempt to give them business. I will no longer be a customer. Word travels

It's a neat place, to say the least. The decorum is just as good as the food itself. Meal portions and prices are very well balanced (the website is accurate), but if it were up to me I'd want to be able to try a platter with different types of sushi on it, or try splitting with a friend because the flavor of the sushi can get dull real quick.

Food was cold. Wasn't sitting at grill table. They graciously re-cooked my meal. It was fine.

This is literally my favorite restaurant, but here lately you guys haven’t been closed during business hours and won’t even answer your phone. Very unprofessional.

I went for my Birthday this past weekend and it was amazing. The wait to get a table/grill took less than fifteen minutes. They started us off with a great salad, then soup. Then about another fifteen minutes later, they came to cook for us. You can for sure tell that they practiced because they're cooking show was spot on. They do a lot of fun tricks with their utensils that they use, plus they have a lot of fun things to say to you while they're cooking your food. And when you finish your food, they top it off with an ice cream of your choice. Since it was my birthday, they lit a candle on top of mine and sang happy birthday to me. It was really a memorable experience. So if your looking to spend some quality time with your family and have fun, you should totally go eat here. You won't be disappointed.

The food is mostly well above average, sushi is great. Enjoy the chefs at the hibachi everytime I'm there and the service is good. A good place for special occasions although making reservations (sometimes weeks or even months in advance) is probably a slightly better option than simply walking in with a party greater than 5 or 6 people. Bar option available as well as non- hibachi menu and seating. Good place overall as wait times are usually not beyond 30 minutes upon walk-in.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with the manager today, Edith. She was so mean right from when we came in. I didnt even know she was the manager. So we had an incident with our food. The waiter mixed up our order and gave us the wrong order. When we asked for the food to be changed, the "manager" said no. I had to go speak to the manager personally and even then she was even more mean....I eventually told her not to recook the food as they caused a scene instead take care of a customet. I have been in the US for almost 5 years and this was by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received...even regular fast food restaurants do better. I hope the owner of this restaurant addresses Edith. She is definitely not fit to be in a managerial role at ANY restaurant here in the US.

I've been a pretty regular guest here for year. Up unti now, it's always been an excellent experience. Tonight was absolutely abysmal.it took 30 minutes for drinks to show up after ordering. The chef didnt start the grill until an hour after we had ordered. When we asked to speaker to the manager, we were just told "well he's busy". I've never had experience like this at a restaurant before, I guess they've given up on customer service.

Great food, but the wait is usually pretty long even with a reservation. They are also absolutely horrible at answering the phone.

Food was great! We Loved the atmosphere and the staff was very pleasant.

We showed up 6:15pm and was told it would 15-30 minutes. We patiently waited. At 7pm we asked how much longer. We were told we would be next. After 5 more tables were sat we asked again because our 4 year old was growing impatient. Then it was, umm I am not sure. There were people that been there for 15 minutes being sat at this point. Another couple waiting with us went up and explained how long we have all been waiting with kids- he was sat with the next table at 7:45pm. We were not. We left at this point because people who just walked in was sat with them. We go here at least twice a month and love the food. This is the second time we have had this issue with the same hostess.
